EQUINE THERAPY
Equine therapy is the discipline of using horses as a means to provide metaphoric experiences in order to promote emotional health. When properly facilitated, horses provide an excellent way for troubled vets to react when they are otherwise therapy resistant.
Equine therapists will usually teach many lessons on ways in which horses learn, react, and follow instructions and integrate socially with people in a calming way. It has shown to be very effective with persons who manifest PTS depression, attention-deficit, conduct and dissociative disorders, anxiety, dementia, autism, and other related disorders.
Our equine therapy program in partnership with Forgotten Angels Animal Rescue is supervised by a certified Equine-Assisted therapist.
