🐱❤️ NATIONAL FERAL CAT DAY! ❤️🐱Today, Spectracare Foundation recognizes National Feral Cat Day and the importance of showing compassion to the cats in our communities who live outdoors and often go unnoticed.Through our Paws Plus Program, Spectracare Foundation is committed to helping at-risk animals by supporting community cat colonies, providing food and veterinary care, and promoting humane Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) practices. We also work to connect cats in need with loving homes, including placement opportunities for veterans and seniors. 🐾Every cat deserves compassion, care, and a chance to live a healthier life. 🥁❤️ A NEW BEAT, A STRONGER BOND: OUR FIRST DRUMMING CIRCLE! ❤️🥁Last Thursday, October 8, 2026, following our weekly Coffee & Conversation, veterans at the Carlton R. Rouh Veterans Center, part of Spectracare Foundation, had the opportunity to experience our very first Drumming Circle session with Tom MacPherson! 🇺🇸What a wonderful way to bring our veterans together through the power of rhythm, music, and connection! 🥁🌟 What Is a Drumming Circle?A drumming circle is a welcoming, inclusive experience where participants come together to create rhythms, express themselves, and connect with one another through music. No previous musical experience is necessary—just an open mind and a willingness to participate!💙 The Impact on Our VeteransFor veterans, a drumming circle can offer much more than making music. It can provide meaningful opportunities to:🥁 Reduce Stress: Rhythmic drumming can help promote relaxation and provide a healthy outlet for releasing tension.🤝 Build Camaraderie: Creating music together strengthens friendships, encourages teamwork, and reminds our veterans that they are part of a supportive community.❤️ Support Emotional Wellness: Drumming offers a nonverbal way to express feelings, release emotions, and experience a sense of connection without the pressure of finding the right words.🧠 Encourage Mindfulness: Focusing on rhythm and sound can help participants stay present in the moment and take a welcome break from everyday worries.🌟 Restore a Sense of Belonging: Most importantly, activities like these remind our veterans that they are never alone. They have a family, a community, and a place where they are always welcome.At Spectracare Foundation, we believe healing comes in many forms.
