🌲 National Wreaths Across America Day 🌲
Today, we pause as a nation to Remember, Honor, and Teach—the heart of National Wreaths Across America Day. Across the country, wreaths are placed on the graves of our fallen heroes as a powerful reminder that their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.![]()
Here in New Jersey, this day carries special meaning at Harleigh Cemetery – Camden County Veterans Cemetery. Nestled in Camden County, this sacred ground is the final resting place for generations of veterans who answered the call to serve. Each wreath laid today tells a story—of courage, duty, love of country, and families who sacrificed alongside their heroes.![]()
As volunteers carefully place evergreen wreaths, often speaking each veteran’s name aloud, we are reminded that these are not just markers or headstones—they are sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, friends and neighbors. The simple act of laying a wreath connects past and present, ensuring that their legacy lives on in our hearts and in future generations.![]()
Today, we stand in gratitude and reflection.
We remember their service.
We honor their sacrifice.
We teach their stories.![]()
Thank you to everyone who made today possible and to the veterans resting at Harleigh Cemetery—you are remembered, always.
