One of our dedicated veterans, along with a friend, will be heading down in the first week of November to personally deliver much-needed supplies and lend a helping hand on the ground. The community is in urgent need of propane and accessories, portable stoves, camping gear, blankets, and warm clothing to prepare for the colder months ahead. If you’d like to contribute, donations can be dropped off during our Veterans Coffee gatherings, held every Thursday from 10 AM to 1 PM. On October 11th, 2024, the Spectracare Foundation and the Rotary Club of New Jersey had the privilege of hosting members of the Garden State Rotary of Cherry Hill at the Carlton R. Rouh Veteran Center. We were thrilled to welcome Terri, Abby, Marv, and other Garden State Rotary members to our center! During the event, veterans from the Rotary Club of New Jersey/Rotary New Jersey Foundation shared their personal stories and experiences with the impactful programs offered by the Spectracare Foundation. A special highlight was how Equine Therapy has made a positive difference in the lives of many veterans, promoting healing and well-being. After an engaging discussion, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch together and took our guests on a tour of the Veteran Center. Thank you to all who attended and continue to support our mission to serve our veterans! #rotary #VeteransSupport #spectracarefoundation #equinetherapy #ServiceAboveSelf #gardenstaterotary #rotaryclubofnewjersey
Today we had the distinct honor speaking with Veterans at the Philly VA Hospital. This was a group with one of our supporters Dan Tangi & his company Univest Bank and Co. We informed the Veterans of all the great programs we offer at no cost and what our foundation is all about. Thanks to our own members U.S. Air Force Veteran Bonnie Kilichowski & U.S. Army Veteran Tom MacPherson for speaking today. Prior to this meeting we sat down with the top executive & board of the hospital to discuss all we have to offer & to establish a relationship with the VA Hospital.
Veterans join us tomorrow for our weekly Veterans coffee and conversations at 10a followed by our Seeds of Change Gardening for Veterans at 11am.
