📸 Exploring History After Coffee & Conversation ☕️This past Thursday, August 7th, after our weekly Coffee and Conversation at the Carlton R. Rouh Veterans Center, a group of our veterans had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Gabreil Daveis Tavern House, also known as the Hillman Hospital House, in Glendora, Camden County.Built in 1756 along the Big Timber Creek, this historic tavern once housed boatmen who transported goods to Philadelphia. Stepping inside felt like walking back in time — the walls and artifacts telling stories from centuries past.During the American Revolution, the building took on a vital role when George Washington designated it as a hospital—hence its alternate name, Hillman Hospital House This special outing was part of our Photography Class with Tom MacPherson, allowing our veterans to capture history through their own lenses.
