🇺🇸 PATRIOT DAY — SEPTEMBER 11, 2026 🇺🇸25 Years. We Remember. We Honor. We Never Forget.Twenty-five years ago, on September 11, 2001, our nation was forever changed. On that tragic morning, 19 terrorists hijacked four commercial airplanes. Two struck the World Trade Center in New York City, one struck the Pentagon, and the fourth crashed in Pennsylvania after courageous passengers and crew members fought back.2,977 innocent people lost their lives that day. Among them were office workers, travelers, children, firefighters, police officers, EMTs, military personnel, and people from communities across our nation and around the world. Hundreds of first responders made the ultimate sacrifice while running toward danger to save others. But September 11 is also a story of courage, sacrifice, compassion, unity, and service. We remember the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, doctors, nurses, military members, volunteers, and ordinary citizens who stepped forward when their country needed them most.We remember the families who lost loved ones.We remember the thousands of first responders, recovery workers, survivors, and others whose lives and health were affected in the years that followed. This year, the 9/11 Memorial will include a seventh moment of silence honoring those who later lost their lives to 9/11-related illnesses. And we remember the brave men and women who answered the call to serve our nation in the years that followed.Twenty-five years later, the responsibility to remember belongs to all of us.For those who lived through September 11, we carry the memories. For those who were born afterward, we must tell the story. And for every generation, we must continue to honor the values that emerged from that terrible day: courage, compassion, service, unity, and looking out for one another. On this Patriot Day, Spectracare Foundation honors every life lost, every hero who responded, every family forever changed, and every person who continues to carry the memory of September 11.🇺🇸 We Remember.🇺🇸 We Honor.🇺🇸 We Serve.🇺🇸 We Will Never Forget.September 11, 2001 — September 11, 202625 Years Later, Their Stories Live On.#PatriotDay #September11 #neverforget #911memorial #25yearslater #WeRemember #WeHonor #WeNeverForget #firstresponders #veterans #military #ServiceAndSacrifice #spectracarefoundation See MoreSee Less

💜 September is National Suicide Prevention Month 💜At Spectracare Foundation, we believe that every person matters, every story matters, and no one should feel that they have to face their struggles alone.September is a time to raise awareness about suicide prevention, reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, and remind one another that asking for help is a sign of strength—not weakness. It is also a time to remember those we have lost and to support the families, friends, Veterans, and communities affected by suicide. For our Veterans, simply taking a moment to check in, listen, and let someone know you care can make a meaningful difference. Sometimes a simple question like “How are you really doing?” can open the door to a conversation that someone desperately needs.🫂 Be the person who checks in.👂 Be the person who listens.💜 Be the person who reminds someone they are not alone. If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.📞 Call or text 988💬 Chat at 988lifeline.orgThe 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline provides free and confidential support for people experiencing emotional distress or a mental health crisis. You just have to be willing to reach out.💜 You are not alone. Your life matters. Your story matters.Spectracare FoundationSupporting Veterans. Building connections. 🌱🧠 Gardening with Trevor Shaw | September 3, 2026 🧠🌱After our Thursday morning Coffee & Conversation, our Veterans continued the day with another informative session of Gardening with Trevor Shaw at the Carlton R. Rouh Veterans Center. This week, Trevor took us beyond the garden to explore the important connection between nutrition, environmental health, and neurological health. 🌿Trevor discussed the history of Alzheimer’s disease and the importance of taking a proactive approach to brain health. The conversation included:🥥 Nutrition and cognitive health — exploring foods and dietary fats, including coconut oil, and the role that healthy fats and adequate protein can play in overall wellness.🧠 Alzheimer’s prevention & brain health — discussing lifestyle and nutritional factors that may support healthy cognitive function as we age.🌱 Natural alternatives — learning about ways to reduce our exposure to certain environmental toxins and considering more natural alternatives in our everyday lives.🍎 Food as part of wellness — understanding how the choices we make every day can contribute to our overall health and well-being.As always, Trevor encouraged our Veterans to ask questions, share their experiences, and continue learning together. At Spectracare Foundation, we believe wellness is about more than just one activity. It’s about creating opportunities for our Veterans to learn, connect, grow, and take care of themselves—mind, body, and spirit. ❤️🇺🇸A special thank-you to Trevor Shaw for another thought-provoking and informative Gardening session!#SpectracareFoundation #CarltonRRouhVeteransCenter #Veterans #VeteransSupport #GardeningWithTrevor #VeteranWellness #BrainHealth #NeurologicalHealth #Nutrition #HealthyAging #AlzheimersAwareness #Community #VeteransHelpingVeterans 🇺🇸🌱🧠 See MoreSee Less

☕🌙 Our First Evening Coffee & Conversation! 🇺🇸Last Thursday, September 3rd, we had a very special evening at the Carlton R. Rouh Veterans Center as we held our first Evening Coffee & Conversation! ❤️🤍💙Some of our regular Thursday morning veterans came out in the evening to welcome a new group of veterans who may not be able to join us during our morning gathering. It was wonderful to see familiar faces come together with new ones, proving once again that Coffee & Conversation is more than just coffee—it’s about connection, friendship, support, and family.A very special WELCOME to Joe and Nipsey, who joined us for the first time! We are so happy to welcome you both into our Spectracare Foundation veteran family. 🇺🇸Our goal is simple: to make sure every veteran knows there is a place where they are welcome, respected, heard, and never alone.Whether morning or evening, we’ll keep bringing veterans together to relax, socialize, learn, share, teach, inspire, and mentor. ☕🇺🇸Thank you to all of our veterans who continue to make Coffee & Conversation such a special part of what we do at Spectracare Foundation.Welcome to the family, Joe and Nipsey! ❤️#SpectracareFoundation #CarltonRRouhVeteransCenter #CoffeeAndConversation #VeteransSupportingVeterans #VeteranFamily #Veterans #Community #NeverAlone #ServingThoseWhoServed See MoreSee Less
